Darolfonoun School To Be Turned Into Museum

TEHRAN -- The Ministry of Education has decided to convert Darolfonoun School into a museum and permanent Exhibition of the Cultural Documents and Heritage of the country.

Other cultural and educational works will also be displayed in the exhibition section.

Darolfonoun was established under the auspices of Amir Kabir, prime minister of Nassereddin Shah, and opened in 1851 while he was in exile in Fin Garden in Kashan.

In this school, which was considered a small university in its time, the French language, French literature, medicine, natural science, music and military science were taught.
